My areas of specialty are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief and loss. I also work with people who have experienced trauma such as sexual abuse or rape. I have been trained in Psychodynamic Therapy, in which together we try to understand the reasons for current behavior so that you can make helpful changes in your life. I also utilize Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, which is more symptom focused and is helpful in relieving those symptoms.
My practice includes young adults (18+), adults, and seniors.
I have been licensed since 1988, and I have practiced in NJ since 1986. After working for several years at the Union County Psychiatric Clinic in Plainfield, I opened my private practice in 1991 in Morristown, moving to Stirling, Basking Ridge, and Far Hills before finding my current office in Bernardsville. In addition to my private practice, I have run groups in the past for RESOLVE, a national infertility support organization, and for the Women's Resource Center in Summit for women going through separation and divorce.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association. I have also been a member of the New Jersey Association of Women Therapists for many years, and served on the board there for over 10 years.
